Amazon Smile

Hello — If you had been using the Amazon Smile program to donate to Holy Trinity, you may have received a communication regarding providing an alternate charity for last year’s accumulated donations due to a lack of Trinity being registered with Amazon. We looked into this and determined that you should, indeed, provide an alternate charity for your accumulated donations. You can reply to this email if you have questions. Thank You, Trinity Admin Staff (Trish Shurtz)

Sabbatical Contacts

January 4th – April 4th Hello Parish, I am looking forward to starting my sabbatical tomorrow, despite the distraction of the work needing to be done to repair the Rectory. The best way to make an inquiry…

Historic Pews Looking for a Home

The Buildings and Grounds team needs your help! We are looking for a place to store one six-foot and two 12-foot-long pews, as their current storage location will no longer be available to us. It’s our understanding the pews were built locally by the same people who built some of the other furniture in the church including the lectern and pulpit that is currently in the library. If you have or know of a potential location – ideally somewhere out of…

Who to Call: Contacts while Fr. Brad is Away

Holy Trinity Parishioners: Fr. Brad will be helping out the Diocese by presiding at the Fallen Leaf Lake chapel on the weekend of August 28th. Due to a scheduling conflict, the chapel there would be left without a Priest, and we are happy to have Fr. Brad help out. And, while this is good for the Diocese, it’s also good for us! (Keep reading). These times away from Trinity for Fr. Brad give us a chance to “test” ourselves for his upcoming…

Dreaming of Heaven

For as long as I can remember,  heaven has had an enchanted image in my mind. Not the “streets of gold” image of Revelation,  just a wonder about a place that was utterly differently  than the orb we currently occupy. And I have long wondered why,  given the choice to live in heaven versus any other locale,  why someone would write it off. Turns out, this is a common experience. The writing off part. The reading from Hebrews on Sunday…
