During the Sundays in May, we will be reading and discussing the book, “Jesus, Interrupted” by Bart Ehrman.
In a nutshell, it is a review of New Testament scholarship (questions like who wrote the various books in the NT, how are they similar and how are they different, and what about the other writings of the same time that weren’t included in the NT, and why? that kind of thing). There is a “twist” (spoiler alert!) in the last chapter of the book concerning personal faith – on what is it based, and what can shake it?
Come join us for what will certainly be a lively discussion, and hopefully some helpful learning about how we got the Bible we know today.
