Holy Trinity Church provides various community services to those in need, with a focus on providing meals to food-insecure people in our community.
Feeding the Hungry
Nevada County
Every other Tuesday evening Holy Trinity Church provides freshly prepared dinners for those in need of a nutritious meal. In the summer, meals are served at Pioneer Park in Nevada City and during winter months meals are prepared and served at Holy Trinity Church.
Trinity welcomes you to join us by donating food, helping to serve, or by donating any amount, large or small, to our community fund. Please contact us here.
Globally
Holy Trinity Church also supports the Rise Against Hunger organization whose mission is to end hunger in our lifetime by providing food and life-changing aid to the world’s most vulnerable. Holy Trinity funds and organizes an annual meal packaging event. In our inaugural event, Holy Trinity teamed up with local Boy Scout Troop 24 to package over 10,000 nutritious meals––see the news article about the event here.

Scouts BSA
The Scouting program is delivered through civic, faith-based, and educational organizations called chartered organizations, which operate Scouting units to deliver the programs to their youth members, as well as the community at large.
Holy Trinity Church is the official chartering organization for Nevada City’s Scouts BSA Troop 24 and provides on-going support to the Troop and to Scouts working on their Eagle Scout projects. Holy Trinity Church and Troop 24 also provide various services to the local community and work together on projects such as the global “Rise Against Hunger” program.

Christmas Family Project
Each Christmas season, Holy Trinity parishioners help local families in need to celebrate Christmas by providing food and gifts to their sponsored family.
