In 1990, his wife, Michelle, and he were married at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Grass Valley after he was received as a member of the Episcopal Church. As the Rector of Holy Trinity, Brad’s role is to see that its members and the surrounding community are cared for spiritually. The Very Reverend Canon Mary Hauck
The Very Rev. Canon Mary E. Hauck is currently the Dean of the Sierra Deanery in the Episcopal Diocese of Northern California. She retired at the end of 2012 as Rector of St. Michael’s Episcopal Church and Day School in Carmichael, California, and served two other congregations prior to that ministry. Her leadership style is supportive of active, mission-minded lay ministry. She has strong preaching and pastoral skills, as well as a solid background in education.
Barry Shurtz
As Junior Warden, Barry assists with building and grounds projects, heading up that hard-working committee which has an ongoing list of both short term and long term projects aimed at keeping our parish property in great shape.
Larry Hoy
Larry provides insight into the Trinity budget process, and keeps informed of the workings of the Finance Committee, providing additional context to our financial status.
Trish Shurtz
Trish heads up the Communications Committee, and helps maintain our website, streaming services, social media and overall online presence as well as internal newsletters and emails. She’s also responsible for public relations opportunities.
Laura Pare
Laura has expressed a desire to “help bring people together”, and her role as Liaison to Parish Life, which focuses on the important areas of our Service Volunteers and Hospitality Committee will give her the opportunity to do just that.
Randy Chilton
Along with Todd Hoida, Randy focuses on Trinity’s involvement with various community needs: Interfaith Ministry, Tuesday Dinners, Christmas Family Adoption, Kare Crisis Nursery, and Boy Scout Charter Organization.

Festival Choir Director
Stan Thomas-Rose
Stan Thomas-Rose is the director of the Trinity Church Festival Choir. He is a native of Nevada County and returned home after graduating from Chapman University and touring with the acclaimed William Hall Chorale. Stan has a degree in music education and vocal performance. He is a junior high music teacher, actor, singer, and vocal coach. Contact Stan if you are interested in joining our Choir!
Compline Director
Jeff Reynolds
Jeff currently directs the Compline Choirs at Trinity Church. He sings in the men’s Compline Choir, Renaissance Man and also the Trinity Church Festival Choir along with occasionally providing special music on his trombone.
