Karen Cuthbertson (KC)

“Hi everyone, I’m KC and I’m delighted to be a new member of this church family and a new Vestry member. Thank you for the warm welcome.

I grew up in the north east of England and was raised in the Anglican Church. I have since lived in many different countries, languages, and cultures, attending many different churches. Attending Holy Trinity Episcopal Church feels like coming home and I am grateful for that.

I live in Nevada City with my husband Alan who has recently retired. Our daughter currently lives in Germany and our son and his family currently live in Florida. I hope you will meet them soon.

I work as a chaplain, having completed my Doctor of Ministry at seminary and having completed four units of Clinical Pastoral Education in a hospital setting. I am endorsed as a chaplain through the Episcopal Church.

My favorite Scripture verse is Isaiah 43:18,19 “Forget the former things; do not dwell on the past. See, I am doing a new thing! Now it springs up; do you not perceive it? I am making a way in the wilderness and streams in the wasteland.”
