My name is Mitchell Peck Eng, and I have had the great fortune of being an active member of the Holy Trinity Episcopal Church congregation for the past four years (believe it or not!). My journey with Holy Trinity began when I attended an early morning service and received a warm welcome that made me feel instantly at home. Inspired by this, I eventually brought my family—my mother and my husband, Alan Eng—into this loving community. Alan has since become an active participant, contributing his time to greeting and assisting with the stream team. As for me, I have been blessed to sing in the Compline, Taizé, and Sunday services, a calling that initially drew me to this welcoming church. I have also served as a chalice bearer on many Sundays when I am not singing in the choir. In my professional life, I am a speech pathologist operating my own private practice in Grass Valley. I am continuously seeking ways to expand my service to others as I grow in my faith and relationship with Christ. I am also in the process of discerning a call to the diaconate in community with the other members of the diocese and this parish.
Throughout my time at Holy Trinity, I have been supported and uplifted not only by my family but also by the wonderful congregation here. This remarkable community has inspired me to step up and serve our church family in any capacity needed. I am honored to consider Holy Trinity not just a place of worship but my spiritual home. I firmly believe that we have something truly special happening at our parish, and I can feel the Spirit moving within our congregation. I am eager to work under the guidance of this Spirit to see where it will lead us next, as well as to contribute to the ongoing growth and vitality of Holy Trinity Episcopal Church.
