I started taking organ lessons in 1969 at the age of twelve. My teacher, Ruth Rockwood brought a group of students over to Trinity to see what was then the only pipe organ in our community. I instantly fell in love with this organ an started my life long journey as a church organist.
Fast forward to 1997 when we moved back to Grass Valley when my husband Gary retired from the Air Force in 1997. I fervently wished that I could become the organist here and told Father Christopher that if the position ever became vacant I would love to fill it.The rest is history. I loved this church when I was a kid…when Father Royer was here… but I was organist at Emmanuel Episcopal Church in Grass Valley. Now this is my home and will be for the rest of my life. Our daughter Laurie was married here and all three of my grand daughters were baptized here. This is home.
